We have recently received a few phone calls and emails, from volunteers and gig buddies, asking when they will be paired up.
We totally get it. You sign up for a project and you want to get going.
This Saturday (21/5) we’re holding our next volunteer training session. Of those attending one signed up via our online application form in July 2015, while the other two joined us in February and April of this year.
Next month we’ve already lined up two volunteers to undertake training, both of whom signed up in January and February 2016, and we’re looking to add more attendees to both dates.
Of the aforementioned five volunteers, the potential gig buddies we have in mind submitted their forms between our launch, February 2015, and as recently as of April this year.
(To become a gig buddy or volunteer, our online forms can be found via our website)
We appreciate your patience. Irrespective of when you signed up, you will not slip through the cracks. We are trying and, even should you not hear from us for a while (we are still making contact with all volunteers who have submitted fully complete application forms, along with inviting all gig buddies into our Chatswood office for an initial meet) you will not go unforgotten. Please bear with us while we try to find you a perfect gig buddy or volunteer.
On a separate note, we've had a great response from gig buddies and volunteers wanting to see either Hiatus Kaiyote with Sampa the Great or Ta-Ku featuring Wafia, both of whom are in town for the Sydney Vivid Festival. With the $5 ticket deal is still available, would you like to check out either band and get your groove on in the Sydney Opera House? Hit us up.
