Thanks to Cassandra, Brittany and Neil (below, L to R), we’re now in a position to pair up three more gig buddies following our most recent volunteer training session.
Of those who attended Thursday’s training session, the three gig buddies they’re to be paired with signed up over a year ago, including one buddy who signed up when we began in February 2015.
We’re always trying to get as many people paired up as possible, and we’re grateful for the patience that our volunteers and gig buddies demonstrate while we search for the perfect pairing. These things do take time: in addition to having a mutual interest, a person’s age, location and gender preference are taken into consideration when it comes to making a match.
To those still waiting, we are trying. Whether paired up or not, everyone who signs up becomes part of the Gig Buddies Sydney community, and one way we engage with our participants is courtesy of our social events.
In mid October we’re venturing to Parramatta for our next such event (see flyer below); these are great gatherings where our volunteers and gig buddies, whether paired up or not, can come along and meet others.
If you would like to join us on Friday 13th October please RSVP via email: info@gigbuddiessydney.org
