Sharks do it again

Thanks to everyone who joined us for yesterday’s Gig Buddies Sydney charity fundraiser between Cronulla Sharks and Manly Sea Eagles.

Over 40 gig buddies headed to Shark Park as we watched Manly take the spoils in extra time, winning 33-32 thanks to a golden point field-goal.

To mark our charity partnership with the Sharks we hosted our very own information tent, beamed a promotion video to 13,273 spectators, and raised funds courtesy of the 50/50 raffle.

On behalf of Carol, Tony, Paula and Libby, we're indebted to those who assisted us with our efforts: Renata, Erin, Rocco, Matthew, Andrew, Fraser and Callum - thank you for generously giving up your time and for supporting us on the day.

Thanks, too, to Peter the driver and On Course Tours and Travel for providing Priscilla, our bus for the day.

Attention now turns to our final match, the game between Cronulla Sharks and North Queensland Cowboys on Saturday 18 August. If you would like to join your fellow gig buddies for the last time this season, get in touch via email: info@gigbuddiessydney.org

Tickets are $20 each and we’ll be running a bus service from Milsons Point and Central Station ($20 return, times TBA). As per all games at Shark Park we’ll also head to Sharkies for a pre kick-off feed.
