Thanks to all the Gig Buddies who came along to the first of our May gigs - Comedian Akmal at the Enmore Theatre for the 2019 Sydney Comedy Festival. Everybody had a fantastic night and we even got to meet the man himself afterwards!!

Read on for more awesome Gig Buddies Sydney news...

New Buddies

We’ve had 2 new Gig Buddy pairings since we last posted… Scotia and Amelia, and Chelsea and Megan. All the best for your future “gigging” together!!

Movie Star

Audrey, one of our very first Gig Buddies, is on the small screen again promoting “NDIS Commission - Introduction to the Worker Orientation Module”. Audrey is no stranger to being in front of the camera and it shows with her fantastic performance. Go Audrey!!

Flying Sharks

We’re off to a flying start to the NRL Sharks Buddies season. All tickets for the Sharks vs Manly game have flown out the door. Sorry if you were hoping to join us. Good news... we still have tickets available for the other matches! Get in quick to snag yours - Click here.

Our first Netball game (Swifts vs WC Fever) is also sold out. But we still have tickets available for the Swifts vs Giants (“The Derby”) game on the 16th of June. Click here to register.

p.s. All participants and volunteers are welcome (to all our events)- You don’t need to be paired with a Buddy to join us.

Vivid LIVE

Do you want to see (and hear) something a bit different (and go to the iconic Sydney Opera House)? Well, there are still tickets available for the Vivid LIVE gigs this month. Check out the link here and contact us if you’re interested in getting some discounted tickets.

Calling all Wrestling Fans

Please contact us and let us know if you’re interested in going to watch some local wrestling in Western Sydney as a Gig Buddies social event. We have some wrestling events in mind, but we want to hear from you first. Check out the facebook page of WrestlingGO, and some videos here.

Back to Training

After a few weeks of long weekends, social events, volunteer expos (Hornsby Mall) and pairing buddies, we’ll be getting back into the Gig Buddies volunteer training room. We’ll be getting to know some new volunteers before they graduate as Gig Buddies volunteers.

p.s. we’re always looking for new volunteers, so if you haven’t registered yet - click here, or give us a call on 9419 6951 and have a chat.

Woolies Buddies

Thanks to Woolworths for naming us Charity of the Month at their head office in Bella Vista. We will be talking to staff about the Gig Buddies project and fundraising in the foyer of their amazing headquarters next week. Two of our Gig Buddies, Simon and Dom, who work for Woolies, will also be joining us to tell their stories about Gig Buddies.
