Drumroll please…… to celebrate us turning TEN we’re inviting the Gig Buddies community to party with us at the spectacular Australian National Maritime Museum.

We’ll be letting our hair down at the iconic venue on Saturday 31 May, celebrating from 6 - 9pm. On the night partygoers can expect our usual tidings: plentiful food, live music and door giveaways.
And we're also providing the perfect backdrop to our birthday extravaganza: courtesy of our party vantage point, attendees will be able to soak up the sights and sounds of Vivid Festival.
Whether you’re based in Sydney or on the Central Coast, we invite you dust off those dancing shoes and join us.
Land ahoy!
Tickets to our 10th cost $49 and can be purchased here.
As for the night itself, more will be revealed in due course. But, for now, we can share the following:
🎉 As we're turning TEN we would like to extend the invite to families and supporters of the project.
To those who have been part of our journey (we're thinking parents, family members, past buddies or volunteers), you are welcome to purchase a ticket and join us at the Maritime.
The more the merrier!
👕 To mark the occasion, exclusive Gig Buddies' ten year old merchandise will also be available to purchase.
🏆 As always, we’ll be giving away three $50 gift vouchers, courtesy of our lucky door prize. Everyone who joins us at the Maritime Museum will be given a number. Be sure to hold on to your ticket!
Win, win, win!
Would you like to win a DOUBLE PASS to our 10th birthday?
We’re offering our existing bunch of buddies (buddies and volunteers) the chance to win free entry to our party.

Simply refer a volunteer and you’ll go in the hat to win two tickets.
The new volunteer must submit a completed application via this weblink (https://www.gigbuddiessydney.org/volunteers) for the referrer to go into the hat.
We have one double pass to give away. The more referrals, the more times your name will go in the hat!

Going, going, almost gone!
Our birthday aside, we have a total of nine social gatherings taking place between this week and the end of April.
Firstly, we’re down to the final few tickets to our one remaining catch up taking place this month.

This Saturday we’re catching up at Warnies in Warnervale. Expect crazy shakes and sugar hits aplenty!
Please note, our two other March socials (tonight’s improv in Newtown and dinner in Parramatta on 27/3) have both sold out.
Looking ahead
And as for April, you’ll find us in Petersham, Waverley, The Entrance, Campbeltown, Hornsby, Brookvale and Liverpool.

A Sydney music festival, trivia and dinners, bites to eat, a free movie night and axe throwing - we’ve plenty going. To join us, jump on the links below:
Our catch ups in Willoughby (13/4) and CBD (29/4) have both sold out.
If you have questions about any of our forthcoming events, get in touch: we can be reached via Facebook Messenger, email: info@gigbuddiessydney.org or via text or phone call on 0411 252 228.
Give me five!
And on the subject of our socials, we’ve been busy during the month of March - already connecting with buddies North Sydney, Penrith, Brookvale, Gymea and Moore Park.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for barefoot bowls, lunches, stand-up comedy, dinner and dancing, and virtual golf.

1 up
We’ve one new match to tell you about.

It’s wonderful to have Roshan and Mikey (L - R) on board.
Ready to go
Last week we also prepped another batch of willing volunteers.

We want to say thanks to Luis (top left), Carol (right) and Martin (bottom left) for joining us on Zoom. We’re looking forward to announcing another trio of matches in due course.
Team LGBTQIA+
And lastly, following our recent social gathering at Fair Day - our first LGBTQIA+ and allies social event - we’re hosting a Zoom to start work on establishing Gig Buddies’ very own LGBTQIA+ user-led team.

Taking place on Tuesday 1 April at 6pm, the meeting will be more of a ‘get to know each other’ session. We’ll also be finding out what attendees would like to get out of being part of the group - and how Gig Buddies can best support to facilitate.
Get ready to share your thoughts, suggestions and ideas!
