To mark this year’s International Women’s Day we are celebrating the role Gig Buddies Sydney females play in achieving #EachforEqual.
Taken from the IWD website, #EachforEqual - this year’s International Women’s Day theme - is drawn from a notion of 'collective individualism’.
“We are all parts of a whole. Our individual actions, conversations, behaviours and mindsets can have an impact on our larger society.
Collectively, we can make change happen. Collectively, we can each help to create a gender equal world.
We can all choose to be #EachforEqual”
International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women - while also marking a call to action for accelerating gender equality.
From our point of view, we want to say thank you to the more than 200 women who have not only contributed their time to Gig Buddies Sydney, but have made a lasting impact on improving social inclusion for people with disabilities.
Soccer Saturday
This Saturday (14/3) we attend our first ever football match, Sydney FC vs Perth Glory.
With Sydney FC looking to cement their place at the top of the A-League ladder, we invite buddies to join us at Kogarah’s Netstrata Jubilee Oval for the 5pm kick off.
Tickets cost $27 each and can be bought from this link.
And on the subject of socials, last Thursday’s (5/3) planned event at Waverley Bowling Club was washed out, but we’ve since rearranged for this forthcoming Thursday (12/3).
As such, we now have a number of tickets available. If you would like to join us for our first lawn bowls event of the year, click here.
As for our second lawn bowls gig, tickets are still available for our trip to Manly Bowling Club on Tuesday 7 April. Click here if you would like to join us.
