Doubling up
We’re excited to welcome our latest batch of paired up buddies to the fold.
It’s great to have both Jack and Conner (above left, L - R) and Mack and Joe (above right, L - R) on board.
"….more than just my 'buddy’"
Each and every month we share the thoughts of a current member of our user-led team, Soul Fly Buddies.
For May we hear from Jack, who tells us more about his recent catch ups with his buddy, Brendan.
“For anyone who maybe has hesitations about joining Gig Buddies, it would bring me great joy to share with you my recent adventures with my buddy Brendan, all involving Dune 2.
As we’re both huge fans of the first Dune film, we’d been chomping at the bit to see the next one. And we finally got that chance to watch it, on 70 mm film as I admit we are slightly snobby about film presentation.
Aside from the incredible experience, the conversation after the film over a wonderful pint of Guinness (Slàinte to all the Irish Buddies) reminded me that after all this time, Brendan is more than just my ‘buddy’, he’s my friend and has been incredibly supportive and helpful to me in more challenging times.
I hope this little story has put to rest any qualms you may have had about Gig Buddies, and encouraged you to join the fun for yourself.”
- Jack
"Australia is lucky to share its shores with some incredible changemakers…."
And lastly, project CEO, Carol, has made a splash in The Guardian.
In ‘How three Aussies are making a real difference and leaving their mark’, Carol talks about the Gig Buddies’ journey and how we’re connecting more and more people.
