We can reveal more details about our forthcoming 10th birthday bash.

As mentioned last week, we request your presence on Saturday 31 May for a gathering in the city. We can now share that the event will run from 5 - 9pm, and on the night we’ll be selling Gig Buddies 10 year exclusive merchandise.

We can also announce that tickets will go on sale from midday next Monday (17 March).

While the location will be revealed next week, we’re happy to drop a hint and inform attendees that they’ll be able to catch a glimpse of the ongoing Vivid Festival lights from our party vantage point.

And on the night, partygoers can also expect our usual tidings: plentiful food, live music and door giveaways.

All will be revealed in seven days time. To buy your ticket to our 10th birthday extravaganza, be sure to check your inbox and social media pages from midday next week!

One down, four to go

We hosted the first of our March socials on Saturday - thanks to everyone who joined us in Penrith for a bite to eat.

The good news for those who missed out, we have FOUR other catch ups taking place this month.

Between now and the 31st of March we’ll be connecting with buddies in Gymea, Newtown, Warnervale and Parramatta.

Please note, our gatherings in Brookvale, Moore Park and Chatswood are sold out.

To join us for dinners out, dancing, stand-up comedy or crazy shakes, load up the links above.

What’s ahead

Looking beyond the month of March, in April you’ll find us in Petersham, Waverley, The Entrance, Campbeltown, Willoughby, Hornsby, Brookvale, the CBD and Liverpool.

A Sydney music festival, trivia and dinners, bites to eat, a free movie night, lawn bowls, axe throwing and music bingo - we’ve plenty going. To join us, jump on the links below:

And if you have questions about any of our forthcoming events, get in touch: we can be reached via Facebook Messenger, email: info@gigbuddiessydney.org or via text or phone call on 0411 252 228.

More matches

We’ve news of another batch of pairings to share.

It’s wonderful to welcome Malin and Brook (L - R), plus Harry and Alex (not pictured) to the team.

Team America

On Friday we caught up with our friends from Columbus, Ohio.

The team from Ability Matters - all 42 of them - were in town and to mark their visit we headed to The Greens in North Sydney for an evening of burgers and lawn bowls.

We were also joined by a number of our very own - thank you to the gig buddies who joined us.

Team LGBTQIA+

And lastly, following our recent social gathering at Fair Day - our first LGBTQIA+ and allies social event - we’re hosting a Zoom to start work on establishing Gig Buddies’ very own LGBTQIA+ user-led team.

Taking place on Tuesday 1 April at 6pm, the meeting will be more of a ‘get to know each other’ session. We’ll also be finding out what attendees would like to get out of being part of the group - and how Gig Buddies can best support to facilitate.

Get ready to share your thoughts, suggestions and ideas!
