Share your thoughts

We're always looking at ways to improve Gig Buddies.

As such, we’re calling on our community of buddies, supporters and volunteers to share their thoughts on our social events.

What motivates you to attend our events? What puts you off? How far would you be willing to travel? Do you only attend free gigs?

It’s easy for us to go into solution mode rather than ask for the views of those who directly benefit from being part of the project. We want your feedback. We can only make improvements or come up with changes if we hear back from you.

We want to hear from buddies, their support networks and volunteers. This survey is aimed at those based in Sydney and on the Central Coast. You are not required to share any personal information.

Help us improve Gig Buddies by filling out the following survey. Load up the link below to share your thoughts on our social gatherings.

If you have any questions or would like more information about our survey, send us an email: info@gigbuddiessydney.org or info@gigbuddiescentralcoast.org

Meet us by the river

On the subject of our social events, limited spots are still available for this Sunday’s catch up.

We’re inviting buddies to join us for a bite to eat as we head to Brooklyn’s The Anglers Rest Hotel, overlooking the Hawkesbury River.

We’ll be meeting at 11am. For more information (including how to register) load up the link below:

If you have any questions about Sunday’s event, get in touch: we can be reached via Facebook Messenger, email: info@gigbuddiessydney.org or via text or phone call on 0422 061 990.

Sing your hearts out

This week we invite buddies to join us online for a group karaoke session.

Taking place on Thursday (24/3), this is your chance to sing alongside your fellow buddies. We'll load up your song choices, ready for everyone to have a go.

In addition to Thursday’s group karaoke, we also invite buddies to connect with us at 4pm tomorrow (Tuesday 22/3) for our weekly chat. To attend get in touch via text: 0422 061 990 or Facebook Messenger.

Following our last newsletter we’ve been busy pairing up more buddies.

We’re delighted to welcome the following matches to the Gig Buddies community: Olivia and Caitlin (top left, L - R), Bec and Nat (top right, L - R), Rachelle and Jess (bottom left, L - R) and Anika and David (bottom right, L - R).

Ready to go

Equally, we’re just as pumped to welcome our newly prepped volunteers.

Thanks to Kate (top left), Rachel (top right), Caylee (bottom left) and Kerstin (bottom right) for logging on recently. We’re looking forward to pairing you up in due course.

Looking for love?

Our friends from Northern Pictures, makers of hit TV shows Love on the Spectrum and Employable Me, have been in touch.

They are working on something new for 2022 and they’re appealing for people who are looking for love.

They’re looking for single people who may have a disability. If you or someone you know might be interested, get in touch with the producers. Send an email with a brief description of yourself (and a photo and contact number) to casting@northernpictures.com.au
