Soul Fly Buddies Blog - Alex

Updated: Oct 22, 2023

My daily lifestyle isn’t really that different to being a member of Soul Fly Buddies; I have a self-created role that is literally my unpaid job, classified as bringing joy as well as happiness to people of all abilities which lets me use my creative mind to its full potential. Sometimes it’s providing someone who I know with directions to somewhere that they’re unsure of, or haven’t been before, which could involve travelling with them, other times it’s thinking up other ideas, in general, that could be in the form of digital artwork involving image/video editing, or songwriting that involves revamping existing children’s songs to help young people between 18-35 years living with an intellectual-physical disability.

My main goal is to be able to use this as one way that represents how people living with a disability should be embraced more via audio, stage and screen.”
